Mike "Moose" Dinn

1972 - 2018
Mike was the creator of this site in February of 2000, with the intent that it would be a portal for all things donair in the world.
Born in Halifax in 1972, a decade later the gift of a Vic-20 computer launched his other great passion, computers, which eventually expanded to the Internet. After getting a degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University, he was hired by the Nova Scotia Technology Network (NSTN), the first internet company to provide service in Nova Scotia and went on to be a networking, internet and computer security consultant.
Whatever Moose was passionate about at that moment, when you were in his presence, it was infectious.
Moose passed away on May 9th, 2018 and we have pledged to carry aloft both his dream of a donair portal, and a juicy dripping confection of pitabread, spit roasted meat, and sweet sauce, forever.
- Here is video of him at the Halifax Donair Crawl 2015
- Mike has a section in Book Of Donair.
- Mike's Twitter feed followed his passions. It's here.
- And, Mike convinced a local sushi place to make Donair Sushi!
